Tiny Tiptoes

I had the opportunity this week to do a portrait session with some more of my favorite people. Below is my dear friend's daughter modeling one of the many products from Tiny Tiptoes Boutique - that adorable little headband is made even more attractive when she wears it!

This was my first time in over two years doing a photo shoot with an infant and it was definitely a lot of fun. As always, feel free to leave me any comments or critique - it really helps me to hear what others think of my photography so that I can continue to learn!

For more information on Tiny Tiptoes Boutique, you can head on over to Etsy.com to find them, or click the link provided above. Hopefully you'll see my photos featured on there soon!

Memorial Day Celebration

Every year our church in North Carolina hosts a huge picnic for Memorial Day. Folks gather at the Brown Family Farm from all parts of the state - and even the nation - to celebrate and thank those who have served in our country's military and to remember the stories from those hero's past.

My family has had the privilege to serve at these celebrations for five years now. Below are some images I captured of the highlights of the day.

For more information about these Memorial Day Picnics, you can visit www.ncfic.org.

What's not to love? Snow cones to keep cool on the hot day and friends to share them with.

There's ice cream too. Can't you just see the delight written all over their faces?
(na, me'n either.)

One of my three little sisters - cuddled up with our new dog

Another sister - cozy in her chair

Miniature army-men with their gear can be seen all over the property.

Memorial Day at the Brown's Farm is always a happy occasion

Here, two of my brother's pose with WWII veteran, William Brown - or "Gan", as he is affectionately called by all who know him.

We were honored to hear Mr. Morris Glass share his incredible story of surviving the Holocaust, including his life inside the infamous Auschwitz, before being rescued by the American army. Our family had the privilege to meet Mr. Glass back in April and were amazed at the mercy of God in preserving his life. For anyone interested, Mr. Glass has written a book recounting his experience during WWII available here.
